Ice and Snow World
Castles, towers and slides built from natural Songhua river ice; after dark the lights glow from inside the blocks. It is one of the largest ice parks anywhere.
Tip Enter around 3:30pm to ride the slides first and then watch the switch-on — you see both versions. Phones die fast in the cold: keep them in an inside pocket and bring a power bank.

One of Asia's longest pedestrian streets, on cobbles laid a century ago, with Saint Sophia's green onion dome as the city's signature silhouette.
Tip Photograph the cathedral by day and eat a Modern ice bar on Central Street at dusk — eating ice cream at minus 20 is the local ritual.
