Hongyadong & Jiefangbei
Stilt houses stacked on a cliff face; after the 6pm switch-on it looks like a tiered market from Spirited Away, and the full silhouette is best from across the river.
Tip Best viewpoints are the Qiansimen Bridge or the Jiangbeizui bank opposite. The 1st and 11th floors both open onto streets — mind which one you take.

Line 2 runs through the 6th to 8th floors of a residential block — the most famous image of Chongqing's vertical terrain.
Tip A purpose-built viewing platform outside the station catches each arrival, roughly every 5 minutes; the Jialing river walk is right there.
